The range is made up of threads in different materials (nearly 20!) of all thicknesses and an impressive list of needles.
It is by listening to users that Jost developed its unique suture design system.
The possibilities of the Jost range are therefore almost unlimited. Let's take two scenarios:
1. Do you want to replace a surgical suture for which you know the reference?
Nothing could be simpler: thanks to the thread and needle references, we are able to reproduce the exact composition of your suture.
2. Can't find 50cm undyed, USP 0, silk thread on a 60mm straight needle anywhere?
Here too, just ask! We can meet your expectations to the nearest tenth of a millimeter!
Monofilaments, multifilaments, synthetics, silk, resorbable, non-resorbable, notched, or antibacterial, Jost responds to all your requests.
The Jost range is probably the widest range of sutures in Europe.

The needles
Choose your needle according to your needs. Triangular, round, spatulate or complex, Jost needles are available from 4mm to 80mm. Whether you want a length of 5.2mm or 78mm, whatever your desire, Jost has the solution.
The threads
Choose from 20 materials, 19 diameters, 6 colors, 3 resorption profiles then choose the length you want and Jost does the rest!
The attributes
Do you need a double needle thread, a black needle, a square or oval pledget, a silicone, wax or Teflon coating, a loop or just a spool? Jost attributes are there to perfect your suturing solution.
All JOST needles are produced from the finest 300 series stainless steels for improved torsion resistance. They are also coated with silicone for better penetration into tissues.

Taper Point Plus
(/ T1)
This needle has an oval body that ends in a soft two-sided tapered tip. The cross section of the needle is slightly thinner than normal. The most common lengths range from 18 to 32 mm.
Taper Point/Cutting Heavy
(/ H)
Reinforced round needle providing increased resistance to bending.
Taper Point CC
(/ Y5)
This needle has a sharper tip specifically designed to facilitate penetration through calcified cardiovascular tissue. Its square oval cross section gives it better resistance to bending.
Taper Cutting Trocar
(/ W)
This needle is designed like a trocar tip, a sharp, durable tip on a round body. It is recommended for fibrous tissues.
Prime Multiglide
(/ P)
This needle has a square oval body providing increased resistance to bending and a triangular tip with reduced attack angles (i.e. reduced cutting edges). It is ideal for easier passage through fabrics.
Reverse Cutting Heavy
(/ R4)
Inverted triangular needle provides increased resistance to bending. It is ideally used in cases where a stronger needle is required, for example to pass through fibrous tissue.
Micro Point Precision
(/ C)
Needle specially designed for plastic surgery with an extremely sharp fine tip allowing particularly easy passage through tissues.
Premium Micro Point Spatula
(/ Z)
Ideal for ophthalmic surgery, this spatulated needle has a flat profile and sharp edges. It is specially designed for perfect penetration through the sclera and the cornea.
Advance Premium Spatula
(/ X)
This needle is characterized by a thin trapezoidal body offering great resistance to bending as well as a very sharp tip.
Ultimat SC Spatula
(/ U)
A completely new concept of trapezoidal body needle with recessed sides and a concave spatulated tip. This needle allows for much easier passage through the tissues of the cornea and sclera. Its particular shape reduces postoperative tissue damage.
Inverted Spatula
